MICHAEL WHITMAN
Founder, President, & CEO
Michael Whitman is the founder and CEO of Micro Interventional Devices, Inc. (MID). Michael has over 40 years of medical device experience at market leading firms including, Johnson and Johnson, Olympus, Synthes and Power Medical Interventions. He previously was the founder and CEO of Power Medical Interventions (NASDAQ; PMII), which was acquired by Covidien Ltd. in 2009. Prior to founding PMI, Michael served in numerous management positions at Johnson and Johnson during his 13-year tenure including Vice President of Sales, Director of Sales and Marketing, Product Development and Product Management. He is the named inventor on over 55 US and foreign patents. He received his A.B. in Business and Economics from Lafayette College and completed graduate work at Wharton, University of Michigan, Harvard Executive Education, and Rutgers University.
DENISE DAJLES, D. ENG
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Denise Dajles is a Biomedical Engineer with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Doctorate in Engineering Management from George Washington University. Dr. Dajles has over 20 years of experience, both in industry and academia, leading new product development, global regulatory affairs, and quality management in medical devices. After working for companies such as Inamed and Allergan, Dr. Dajles started two companies, and after successful exits, transitioned to Academia, where she led a Research Lab focused on brain computer interfaces. Dr. Dajles returned to corporate life to lead the R&D department at Establishment Labs, successfully developing over eight different products, taking them from concept to market. Prior to joining MID, Dr. Dajles served as the Chief Technical Officer at Sientra, where she was responsible for developing the innovation strategy of the company, which included managing the technology roadmap; leading the company’s global regulatory strategy and quality system; scouting and assessing new technologies, and leading the overall company’s operations. Dr. Dajles is a co-author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals and a book chapter and is a named inventor on a number of medical technologies
WILLARD HENNEMANN, PHD
Chief Science Officer
Willard Hennemann, PhD has over 40 years of experience in medical device clinical research, R&D, business development and strategic marketing, including management positions at BioSphere Medical, CryoCath Technologies, Medtronic and Cordis Corporation. Dr. Hennemann has authored or coauthored 18 articles and 4 abstracts in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is an inventor on 10 issued US patents. He received his PhD from University of Florida and his B.S. from University of Maryland.
LINDA MORGAN
Senior Vice President, Operations
Linda Morgan has over 40 years of experience in medical devices. She has worked in quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and engineering, including management positions at LifeCell, International Technidyne Corporation, Core Essence Orthopaedics, Power Medical Interventions, and Ethicon. Linda has also focused on implementing and maintaining quality systems, achieving ISO 13485 certification and obtaining 510(k) clearance to market for medical devices. Linda received her MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix and her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology
KATHERINE WHITMAN
Vice President of Professional Education
Katherine Whitman has over 10 years of experience in the medical device industry. She is responsible for all marketing, public relations, events and sales/distribution initiatives at MID. Previous experience includes PowerMedical Interventions, Evergreen Partners, Inc, and ESPN. Katherine received her BA from Lafayette College and her MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
